PowerWave HT Spectrophotometer
The PowerWave HT was designed to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It
has the ability to read 96 & 384 well microplate, 1cm Bio-Cell™ cuvettes
from wavelengths 200nm - 999nm in 1nm increments. Applications include
endpoint, kinetic, spectral scanning and well scanning. Included is
onboard 4-Zone™ temperature control to 50°C, onboard shaking and the powerful

PowerWave HT 340
The PowerWaveX 340 offers an economical alternative for applications in the
visible spectrum range from 340 - 999nm in 96 and 384 well microplates. Read modes include endpoint,
kinetic and spectral scanning. Included is onboard 4-Zone™ temperature control to 50°C, onboard shaking,
pre-programmed and user definable onboard assays and KCjunior for Windows Data
Reduction Software. Optional Bio-Cell™ for nucleic acid quantitation and
pathlength correction is available.

BioTek’s patented Bio-Cell quartz vessel for standard 1 cm
measurements. Read modes include endpoint, kinetic and spectral scanning assays.
Applications include ELISA, kinetic enzyme assays, nucleic acid quantitation, A260/A280
ratios, protein analysis and much more.
Features include wavelength selection from 200 to 999 nm in 1 nm increments,

µQUANT Spectrophotometer
The µQUANT features a full spectral range from 200-999nm in 1nm increments. The µQUANT is pre-programmed with 27
onboard routine assays including protein and nucleic acid quantitation, 260/280 ratio,
Lowry proteins etc. Compatible with 24, 48, 96 384-well and Terasaki

FLx800 Microplate
Fluorescence Reader
The FLx800 is a fluorometer and luminometer capable of reading 6 to
384-well, Terasaki and PCR plates. Features include automated top
and bottom probe switching, an excitation range of 300-650nm, an emission range
of 340 - 650nm and a dynamic range of 0 - 99,999. Up to 55 programmable
protocols (or 75 custom protocols) and 8 assay results can be stored
onboard. Options include 4-ZoneTM
temperature control to 50°C, user programmable shaking, PCR tube reading,
injectors, injector module, KC4 or KCjunior for Windows Data Reduction Software.
Clarity Microplate
Luminometer
The Clarity Microplate Luminometer utilises utilises ultra fast photon
counting and advanced non-contact cross-talk control technology to provide
outstanding signal to noise ratio. Features include full plate or
random pattern reading in 96 and 384 well microplates; KC4 software for Windows
for endpoint, dual read, kinetic, flash-kinetic read modes; optional temperature
control to 50°C or up to 4 optional injectors for flash luminescence assays.
Synergy
HT
The Synergy HT is a multi-detection reader for fluorescence, luminescence
and absorbance measurements in 6 - 384 well microplate, PCR trays and Terasaki
plates. It's unique dual-optics design incorporates a tungsten halogen
lamp with interference filters for fluorescence and luminescence, as well as a
Xenon flash lamp and monochromator for absorbance measurements. The
monochromator provides wavelength selection from 200 - 999nm in 1nm
increments. Automatic top and bottom epifluorescence read modes are
available for homogeneous and cell-based assays. Excitation wavelengths
range from 300 - 650nm and Emission wavelengths from 350 - 800nm. Read
modes include, endpoint, kinetics, well area scanning and wavelength
scanning. Included is 4-ZoneTM
temperature control to 50°C, user programmable shaking, and KC4 for Windows
Data Reduction Software. Options include Time Resolved Fluorescence

Microplate Absorbance Reader
The ELx800 is designed for applications within the clinical, biotechnology
research and pharmaceutical areas. This single channel reader can read
endpoint and slow kinetics via computer control in multiple plate formats from
24 - 96 well microplates and optional 384 well and Terasaki formats. The
wavelength range is from 400 - 750nm or 340 - 750nm (UV model). Extensive
onboard data analysis software performs cutoff calculations, data
transformations, validations and curve-fitting. Store up to 75
user-definable assays onboard and up to 8 microplate test results. The
ELx800 interfaces with KC4 and KCjunior for Windows Data Reduction Software.
ELx808 Microplate
Absorbance Reader
The ELx808 is a multi-channel reader that accommodates 96 well
microplates. Read modes include endpoint, fast kinetics and linear

MICROPLATE WASHERS:
ELx50
Auto Strip Washer
This robotic friendly and programmable auto strip washer is suitable for EIA,
Fluorescence, Chemiluminescence, RIA, DNA Probe and Cellular Assays in 96 or 384
well microplates.
Single strip or full plate assay protocols can be easily programmed for washing,
priming, dispensing, aspirating, rinsing and shaking. Lower background
absorbance and cut residual volumes with bottom washing and crosswise
aspiration. Programmable aspiration rates reduce carryover and provide the
ultimate in washing efficiency. Dispense 25 to 3000µl per well, wash
cycles from 1 - 10, soak times up to 600 seconds, user programmable shaking and
optional automatic buffer switching capability.
ELx405 Microplate Washer
The ELx405 washes all flat, round or V-bottom plates / strips for 96- and
384-well microplates. The dual action manifold separately aspirates and
dispenses and has features such as overfill protection, fluid / flow sensing and
crosswise aspiration. Dispense volumes are 50 to 3000µl, dispense
precision is <3% CV, and residual volumes are < 5µl / well.
The Elx405 utilises up to 10 cycles / wash, 75 programs (including 5 maintenance
programs) and is fully programmable allowing you to program the dispense /
aspiration heights, aspiration delays, soak / shake times, aspiration rates and
horizontal aspirate and dispense positions. Options include an automatic
buffer switching module and magnetic bead washing.

KC4 for Windows
KC4 is compatible with all BioTek Absorbance, Fluorescence and Luminescence
readers and Spectrophotometers. Software features include powerful report

customisable plate identifiers, auto saving / printing / naming of data, simple
step by step protocol creation with Protocol Wizard, multi-user password

KC Junior for Windows
KCjunior provides basic data reduction for a broad range of research

calculation, data analysis for multiple microplate geometries from 6 - 384

This affordable, automated 96-/384-well microplate liquid
handling which replaces manual pipetting. The
configurable multi-station platform and powerful onboard software allow for
customized applications. The unique XY transport design provides effortless 96-
to 384-well plate transfers with the same pipette mechanism. Precision
2000 offers a variety of fluid transfer operations including reagent addition,
well mixing, serial dilutions, plate
replication and sample transfers.
The optional Rapid Dispense Mode Manifold ensures fast, flexible and precise
automated liquid delivery. Software features include Pre-Defined

Precision
XS
The Precision XS uniquely combines a single-channel sample processing head,
an 8-channel pipetting head and an 8-channel bulk reagent dispenser all in one
compact, affordable product. In addition to transfers using disposable pipette
tips, the Precision XS’ autoclavable and organic solvent resistant bulk
reagent dispenser is available for transferring larger volumes. Intuitive
Precision Power PC software simplifies the programming of applications from hit
picking to serial dilutions even for those new to automated liquid handling.
µFill Microplate Reagent
Dispenser
µFill offers an economical, compact, and reliable alternative to existing
microplate dispensers. Accurate and precise dispensing are guaranteed without the time-consuming recalibration, cassette replacement, and maintenance
commonly associated with other dispensers available today. An autoclavable model
is also available for those applications requiring a sterile fluid bath.
µFill incorporates a microprocessor controlled syringe pump for
optimal performance. 24-, 96- and 384-well standard microplates and deep well
blocks are accommodated with flexible volume ranges from 5 µl to 3,000 µl per
well. µFill's compact footprint makes it ideally suited to fit inside laminar
flow cabinets. The user-controlled dispense flow rates allow low- to
high-velocity dispensing for any application. Twenty microliters are dispensed
across a 384-well plate in 12 seconds. Store up to 75 programs onboard.

Fastrack Automated
Microplate Handler
BioTek’s Fastrack is an automated
and flexible robotic microplate stacking system with pick & place
capability. Designed to complement our existing product line of microplate
readers, washers and automated pipetting systems, Fastrack can be interfaced to
one or more BioTek products. The result is an integrated microplate stacking
system for unattended operation. Fastrack’s unique microplate rotational gripper
and 345o axis of rotation add flexibility and eliminate time
consuming alignment. The Fastrack product line has been expanded to include
models equipped with a telescoping arm. In addition to the robot arm's 345o
axis of rotation and rotational gripper, the telescoping arm further increases
the robot's flexibility. The Fastrack can handle from 60 - 300 plates
without lids or 50 - 295 plates with lids in portrait or landscape format.
Bio-Stack
The Bio-Stack's compact and flexible
design is compatible with BioTek's microplate washers, dispensers and detection
systems. Speed, ease of use and walk-away automation are guaranteed for
any routine microplate process. The Bio-Stack's small footprint fits easily in
most standard laboratory hoods without the need for a computer. When used in
conjunction with BioTek's PowerWave HT, Synergy HT or PowerWave XS
microplate readers, the stacker interfaces seamlessly with BioTek's KC4 Data

MANUAL
INSTRUMENTATION:
EL401 Manual Washer
The EL401 can be used on all 96-well microplates and microwell strips.
The unique alignment mechanism allows you to quickly and accurately position the
8 or 12 channel manifold above the row to be washed. Perform as many
washes as needed, with the desired fluid amount to be dispensed while the EL401
continuously aspirates the wells. Speeds of 5 wash/aspirate cycles in 5
seconds, per row can be achieved and overflow protection prevents overfilling.
EL301 Microwell Strip
Reader
The EL301 is a portable, single/dual wavelength photometer designed to
measure and interpret the absorbance of flat or round bottom 8-well, 12-well
and 2x8-well strip assays. Features include automatic well location, 4
internal user-defined analysis programs, automatic average blanking and store 12
plates of absorbance values in memory. Wavelength range is from 380 -
700nm.
