RADIATION
SAFETY MONITORING SYSTEMS:
RAM DA-3-2000
Features microprocessor based survey meter with internal detector for reliable
alpha, beta, gamma and X-ray measurements. Provides a fast and reliable method
to collect and store monitoring data. Units in mR/h or Sv/h.
RAM-DA3-2000L
This hand held, portable survey meter with built-in wide range detectors,
internal memory and a bar code scanner was developed to meet the needs of the
PET and Nuclear Medicine laboratory. Features include automatic
self-testing of monitor and detector, internal gamma detectors with wide range,
easy connection of external detectors (Pancake, PMT/NaI, GM detectors) and a
simple 5 button keypad for operation. The RAM DA-3/2000L can collect area
activity data (up to 360 points in its internal memory) in conjunction with bar
codes used for location identity. The Meter View software can then
transfers the stored data along with date and time information to an MS-Excel
spreadsheet report.
RAM
SURF
RAM SURF Contamination Monitors are suitable for detecting very low levels
of Alpha, Beta and Gamma contamination in work areas, on skins and
clothes. The instrument has an external Pancake GM detector offering the
extra flexibility required for monitoring less accessible positions.
Features include programmable alarm thresholds, units of either CPM or CPS,
readout of count rate, dead time correction, automatic self diagnostic routines,
alarms for overflow, low battery and detector failure to mention a few.
RAM GAM-1
This compact, portable, light weight survey meter is utilised for general
applications. Features 3 button operation, digital display and meter stand.
Units in mR/h or µSv/h.
RAM GENE
This portable, light weight, and highly sensitive meter is designed to instantly
detect low-level surface contamination. Features 3 button operation, digital
display and meter stand. Units in cps or cpm.
RAM GENE-1
Features high sensitivity of the RAM GENE for surface contamination monitoring,
plus the additional flexibility of area monitoring. Features recessed, internal
GM pancake detector and attenuation disk for conversion to radiation monitor.
Units in mR/h + cps, mR/h + cpm, µSv/h + cps, or µSv/h + cpm.
RAM R-200
This portable, multifunctional, rugged survey meter measures wide range gamma
radiation fields and alpha/beta contamination. Quick connection for external
gamma probes. Built-in RS-232 and automatic self-tests. Units in Sv/h, Sv or
R/h, and R for radiation; cpm or counts for contamination.
RAM ION
Features battery operated, auto ranging, portable ion chamber survey meter
designed for highly stable and accurate measurement of dose rates and integrated
dose of gamma, x-ray and beta radiation. Units in mR/h or mSv/h.
Monitor
5
The Monitor 5's large thin window GM detector located on the back of the
instrument allows the user full view of the meter and count light while checking
for contamination. The larger window provides good reproducibility and
extra sensitivity to Alpha, Beta, low energy Gamma and X-rays.
Monitor
4 and Monitor 4 EC
These compact general purpose survey meters are capable of detecting Alpha,
Beta, Gamma and X-rays over 3 selectable ranges. A red count light flashes
and audible beep sounds with rising radiation levels. The Monitor 4 EC
offers the user a more accurate reading for Gamma and X-rays above 40 keV.
The
Inspector
The Inspector is a small handheld microprocessor based instrument which
offers excellent sensitivity to low levels of Alpha, Beta, Gamma and
X-rays. The digital readout is displayed with a red count light and
audible beep, providing instant indications of the radiation level. Other
benefits include an adjustable timer, external calibration controls, CPM from 0
- 300 000, CPS from 0 - 5000, display update every 3 seconds etc.

SCANNERS:
AR-2000
The AR-2000 is
the latest generation of Imaging Scanners which provide direct digital counting
of all isotopes including ³H. Direct counting guarantees quantitative
accuracy for important metabolism experiments and radiochemical purity
measurements. The instrument is linear over 4-5 decades of activity, a
range 100 - 1000 times greater than the linear range of X-ray film. Direct
imaging with the AR-2000 also provides the fastest possible analysis of TLC
plates, gels and blots. For radiochemical purity analysis, the AR-2000 can
provide accurate quantitation on moderate activity samples in less than a
minute.

RADIO-HPLC
DETECTORS:
Flow-Count
Flow-Count is
the online HPLC detector of choice for gamma emitters, 125I measurements and
routine work with 32P. Special detector systems for high activity online
analysis of 14C and 3H labeled compounds in semi-prep HPLC have also been
developed. Options include a wide range of detectors, Laura HPLC software
featuring pulse counting for the widest possible dynamic range and optimum
signal to noise ratio, a high precision D-A output for optimising the interface
to standard chromatography software packages such as Waters Millenium® and
Hewlett Packard Chem-Station®.
Triathler
Detector
The
Triathler HPLC is a new radio-detector designed specifically for
radiochemical research and production of compounds labelled with 3H, 14C
and other beta emitting isotopes. The system incorporates inexpensive CaF2(Eu)
and glass scintillator flow cells of varying volumes for both prep and
analytical (radiochemical purity) work. Simple, finger-tight fittings permit
rapid cell changes for different working activity levels or for replacement if
contamination levels become excessive. The Triathler can be interfaced
with most chromatography data systems using an analogue signal from the extended
range module or with BioChrom radiochromatography software using the TTL output
and Pearl interface.
