Company Overview

Historical overview:

The primary function of Analytical & Diagnostic Products is to supply, support and service quality control and laboratory instrumentation as well as consumable items to the scientific community in Southern Africa. With the support of Canberra Packard and Bioscan Instruments A.D.P. was founded in September 1995 by Garth Todd.

Although the company is relatively new, its founder needs no introduction to the industry. Garth Todd has been involved in both the technical and marketing aspects within the scientific market since 1982.  In November 1995 A.D.P. was also appointed as the BioTek distributor for Southern Africa. At this stage the company operated from small premises.

Within a year of the company's existence, A.D.P. added the following companies to its portfolio of suppliers: BMG LABTECH, BioX, Cavro and Eichrom Industries. A.D.P. has become a recognised supplier and service provider of scientific instrumentation in South Africa. Towards the end of 1997 the company had grown to the stage were the decision was made to expand the product range and include more consumable products to compliment the existing range of instrumentation. The decision to build larger office space was made.

A.D.P. has recently added to its portfolio the Creacon range of Thermal Cyclers; the HybriBio range of Flow-Through Hybridization systems and PrinCE Technologies range of Capillary Electrophoresis Systems.
