NATURAL TOXIN TEST KITS:

Visual Qualitative Tests:

Neogen's Agri-Screen and Alert natural toxin kits are screening tests that compare up to 5 samples at a time against a known level of toxin.  The tests provide visible results that clearly show whether a sample contains more or less of a toxin than the control provided.

Quantitative Tests:

Neogen's Veratox Mycotoxin kits are quantitative tests that compare up to 19 samples at a time against test controls.  Through the use of microwell reader, the tests provide accurate sample results in parts per million or parts per billion.

FOODBORNE BACTERIA TEST KITS:

Qualitative Tests:

Neogen's Reveal test systems have everything to complete a pathogen screen, including the enrichment medium.  Reveal's lateral flow device combines an immunoassay with lateral flow chromatography for a rapid and accurate one-step result.  Results are available 15 minutes after enrichment.  The tests' unique antibodies ensure sensitivity and specificity.  Built-in visual lines provide definitive interpretations.

Bacterial Slides:

Hygicult products are agar slides specially designed to enable reliable, economic and timesaving monitoring of microbiological hygiene.  use directly on the work surface, dip into fluids or transfer from a conventional swab.

DNA Probe Technology:

Neogen's GeneTrak range of products is extremely specific by utilising DNA hybridisation to screen food samples for pathogens.  The tests are available in the tube format (single test format) or the microwell format for large volume users.

Membrane Filtration Systems:

The ISO-GRID System is based on the principles of hydrophobic grid membrane filtration.  Target organisms are detected or enumerated through the use of a unique membrane filter grid containing 1,600 squares.  Diluted samples are filtered through a 5µm stainless steel pre-filter to eliminate food particles that could interfere with subsequent microbial analysis.   Samples are then filtered through hydrophobic membranes.  The membranes are subsequently placed on agar plates specifically chosen to detect target micro-organisms.

After incubation, target organisms are detected on the membranes and enumerated by counting the positive squares.  The membranes do not take up the agars' dyes, providing good contrast and easy organism identification and enumeration.  The grid's large number of squares supplies a broad counting range, eliminating the need to analyse several dilutions.
