One Plate for Yeast and Mold (OP-YM) is a selective, differential agar designed for the rapid enumeration of yeasts and molds in food and environmental samples. It delivers quantitative results in as little as 54 hours, regardless of water activity, using a single plate instead of multiple plates required by standard ISO methods. The formulation includes nutrients to support fungal growth, selective agents to inhibit bacterial interference, and glycerol for consistent performance across all sample types. A post-sterilization supplement enhances identification by producing distinct coloration of yeast species, enabling efficient and reliable analysis.
